How the Media is Effecting You?
To many people think media is part of their life so it is a everyday thing that they do not even think of it, like breathing or getting out of bed. It is just there and it will never go away it just gets faster and better. How many of these people do not have any realization of what these different media's are doing to them physically, mentally and emotionally.

Teenagers, god forbid, they go a day without web, or their phones. You can not turn your head right or left without seeing a teen walking with their eyes glued to their phones. They don't even talk to each other when they are in the same room they are usually texting or on Facebook, Tweeter or Snap Chat. What happened to teens going to the mall, talking about the opposite sex, and trying to impress each other. Now it is about taking the best video of the fight outside, or who has the sexiest picture. Why are teens no longer teens but are camera crews to the world around them instead of living it in the now?
This is normal for teens, kids, and entire families they are all in the same room but no one is talking.

If there was a day just one day that electronics did not work how would people react? What kind of madness would be unleashed. How many people would break down and cry thinking their life would be over. How would parents deal with their children?
This is just a little thing that technology has created to help bring back the family and get people to put down the electronics. So maybe it is just for dinner but this can be used for so many other times and really bring people back to this world.
I know I personally love to take everything away and kick the kids out and have us all do something from riding our bikes to going to a museum. Any little thing to get them to see the word around them and not to be stuck to a screen. I have had technology taken away from me for weeks to months at a time and I will say it is the best thing ever I do not worry about what other's think a or what is really going on. I am able to take care of myself and the things I need to get better and to move forward. I know even to this date when technology was forcibly taken away it was the best thing and I will continue to take breaks it might only be for a day but I know I and many other's still need that break.
I didn't even finish the post and I could see how much you truly dislike the use of technology! XD Which I don't blame you, it has come down to the point where it has sucked up our attention for more than half of the day (work, school, quiet kids, etc.) At this day and age though, most of how the child functions later in life is how they were raised. As for us adults, we try to keep up with the new things that're "hip" much like teenagers these days, if they have no cell phone they get looked down on by their peers. I feel like it's all a vicious cycle. I do praise you for having family time away from things like phones/tablets/tv ^^ Keep at it ~
ReplyDeletegood write up- i sometimes take people on hikes and 4x4 trips and one thing i do is ask that they turn off any and all electronics - unless its a camera. a couple of weeks ago at the grand canyon a bus came to one of the points that people like to take pictures. most of the people were taking a quick pick of the grand canyon and got back on the bus. i had to wonder if they really grasped the dimensions of how the canyon evolved- is short we are always in a hurry nowadays and like news we just shovel it in...
