Another Semester#11

Dec 3, 2015
Were all done!

The semester is done and so is all the blogging, finally. I will say that this semester with the blogging felt different. I felt more compelled to put more in to it then just quick little things I like. I had to dig and look up and keep on with keeping the audience (yes you wonderful readers you) interested. So I guess I could say I did enjoy blogging a bit more than last semester. Will I pick this up on my free time, No, but that is also because I have no free time.

I feel like the benefits to all this blogging is I was able to express myself as if I was writing in a diary. Not really thinking or caring about who would read it or how they would respond. It was just me writing and was able to improve my writing as I went through every blog.

The challenges for this semester was how many self generated entry's we needed I am so busy with school, work, paper's and Christmas thinking of something that is somewhat professional for me to speak about is not the easiest thing to do.

Learning there is definitely differences in writing. I would look at other blogs and I just could never respond or just look at some of the picture because there was not a lot there to read and I was not able to be engaging. I hope with questions, video's and seeking other opinions really was able to get people to just think.

I feel like I learned a lot more about rhetoric and engaging an audience, when it came to this blogging. I was trying to be professional but still appeal to the "college" life. I am much older then many of my class mates so I did not want to dumb down but I did want to relate to certain situations.

I believe blogging along with some of the assignments is harder because if you are already writing about the media and have to do so much on that, when writing a quick blog it can get hard to cut out so much when you have all the info.

I believe that blogging helped with the class and breaking the ice for many of the classmates, because when it comes to grading many are afraid to say or do anything. So when it came to a blog we were able to relate, break wall and help each other think of ideas and papers.

Hope all of you have a great end of the semester and continue on with college with at least some ease it can't always be easy. You can do it.

  3. Hi Jenn. As always, I enjoyed reading your blog #11. I also enjoyed reading other students "diaries". It was sort of bitter sweet in a way though. If it wasn't for the technology that we currently have, we would have had to learn about each other through face to face conversations and interaction. Thanks for allowing me to laugh at myself with your "much older than many of my class mates" Kiddo. Hope you have a "Ranting" Christmas. ...Cane Man

  4. I am glad you found value in the blog project, Jenn. Your writing has definitely grown and developed since the beginning of 101--just take a look back and see for yourself. I hope you keep blogging!
