Capitalism 

Have you seen that movie by Michael Moore? When I first watched this movie I got really upset. I plan on going into finance and working for the money. But as I watched how crooked the finance world is (well at least through Moore's eyes) I wanted to quit while I am ahead.

 

I decided to ask my accounting teacher who has over 30 years of financial field experience. He explained that everyone steals within the financial system. But when you are a little worker in the big game the average person steal little amounts that go unnoticed. Where once in the big positions(VP, Consultants, CEO's) once they decided to steal and have started the process it is big or go home. So when they get caught and they usually do it is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. That is why the big businesses lose so much and their workers take the biggest hits. 

While watching this movie I was seriously surprised how the business's take out insurance policies on their employee's and no one seems to notice until there is a death. A life if it be big, small old or young it is worth more than any dollar amount.

 How can a business see us as peasants and word it as peasants. All people, that are working for the business put so much in to their work how do businesses just throw us away? How can they not think of the families that we are working to provide for? How are these businesses even getting the policies on their employees without any permission from the person they have a policy on? 

Where is the justice in all of this? Where are peoples morals? What are people's values in today's society? I know personally as I go through my classes and I become an account I will start small like bookkeeping but with time and experience I will always have my  morals and values held tight with every decision I make when it comes to helping anyone. No one should be controlled by the money they make. It is paper just that but it does control everything we do as humans. And that is alone is just sad.

Coloring

Have you heard about these new coloring books for adults? They are suppose to help with stress and relaxation.

There are many different kinds from music to animals to just elaborate designs. Many come in a book like a child's coloring book. I have now seen them at Target, Walmart, and all over facebook. The pictures take a bit of time and some serious concentration. for many of the lines and spaces are small.

So for you to do this you could not be angry because you know how it goes one thing goes wrong and a whole line of mess follows. So when doing this I see why it would bring down your stress levels. You really can't think of anything else but the picture and how you are wanting to color it. 

I personally am not artistic what so ever I like math and science but I do love color in everyday life. Know when I am in the mood I will get my girls to bring out the HUGE plastic tube of arts and crafts and we as a family will just start playing. My girls of course pull out everything to fuzz balls, glitter, and paint where I like to stick to crayons and a picture that all I have to do is fill it in. After the Mess is made and I have cleaned everything up I do not feel any less stressed but I do see how proud my girls are for starting and finishing one of their projects and that brings a smile to my face. 

Much of my family is very artistic and seem so much less stressed out than myself. I have my older brother who is a Tagger, tattoo artist and a free lance artist.

My older sister does home projects where is redesigns the home adds color and she always has a satisfaction look when she is done with a project.

One of my younger sister writes stories. She will spend hours in her room writing chapter after chapter when it hits her but she does get stressed when it comes to blokes. 

Another sister paints when it hits her and after months of doodling she will buy her canvas and just paint. 

I personally love to work hard and see thing grow. My kids, my home, my education but if there is the one thing artistic I do that would be to garden. 

I think with the coloring books it gives adults that ability to be a kids again to not think about anything but the picture in front of them with out feeling any guilt of not being an adult because it is a coloring book for adults. But no matter what I feel that everyone needs some kind of art/color in their lives to brighten it, give it meaning and just to make you smile for you accomplished something. So please pick up a book and start coloring today.

ASU's Speedy Classes #5

Speedy Classes

So I just read a article about Arizona State University (ASU) starting up a program with the 15 week courses now crammed in to 7 1/2 weeks. All that came to mind was who did they question and what questions did they ask?

Here is the article but it really does not give the information I am looking for. 

I know that the community college as well as ASU do hybrid classes but how well do people know these classes? I personally took summer classes which compiles a 16 week course in to a 5 week session. I not only did this once but I did it twice. The first time I did it I actually took two classes during a summer session and I am still shocked I passed with the high grades I had. I did not have my kids at the time and I was not working so all of my time was to school and it was well spent with school.

 The second summer session I decided to only take 1 class and that was even harder. I spent 3 hours in the class in front of a computer and then after class I would spend 7 hours in front of a computer at school trying to get as much work done before heading home. Then I would spend a good 3 to 4 hours more in front of the computer at home just to get a bit ahead so I know I could finish the work needed to be done for tomorrow.

 Again my kids were with family all summer and I was not working. Many of my classmates were working and were very much behind and I knew this because they would come into class and complain the entire time about time management or just not caring about the work. Myself and one other student that I know of were the only ones who passed that class with good grades. 

Some people are able to to do these kinds of classes and pass them but he article says they are doing this for the student who works and wants to finish early. If these students have taken a class with this speed and are able to work then more power to them. I know just from my experience that this is no easy task.  

The only thing I would tell anyone who is doing these courses is know what your getting in to? It was not easy for a lot of people with a other responsibilities and I know if it was not for my family I would not have passed myself.

What is love?

After looking at so much hate and destruction I thought it was time to look at the other end of the spectrum. 

What is love for many people? Is it that feeling you get being with your partner? Is it when a child wants to hold your hand when crossing the street? Is it when you have finished the semester with all passing grades and you love that it is over? Could it be the kindness that is given to you and what you give to others when just being there?

I would like to know what it is for you please let me know so I can add it all up and get a good idea.

I have people on the streets in the cold with nothing on but a pair of pants and a t-shit and People have stopped their cars given clothes, food, and money to help them out. I have personally gone out of my way taken off my own jacket and helped someone out. I ask for nothing and if it helps that person feel some comfort some kind of love for them self, I now feel love that I hope many people strive for. This is an experiment but I hope it opens your eyes to the love people have and are willing to share when the world is so cruel

Many people say that the love they get from their pets is all the love they have ever really received and that might be true but I usually have to ask then, well do you know how much love you are actually giving to your pet and maybe they are just trying to match that. So you can give love as well as receive it.

I know personally my 2 pits and my 3 cats do this everyday when my girls and I return from school.

Many Parents say that it is the love that they have for their children and the love their children have for them that is the best love they have ever felt and probably will ever feel. Yes this video made me cry but again I am pregnant and love all my kids unconditionally.

Perspective

What is perspective? How is t used? Why is it so distorted every where we go? Why do people use it to manipulate society and opinions?  These are just some of the questions I would like you to keep in mind while reading this.

This is from the Merriam-Webster dictionary this is what the definition/s of  what perspective are.  So if it is the true relation of something how can anyone person judge it? Everyone has a perspective they are not right or wrong but they do have one. Then with every situation every perspective is changed or different. 

I would like to talk about how it is used and why it is becoming so distorted. I would like to take  any station/channel. They use this wonderful ability to alter perspective it is called slanted reporting. They usually do this to get a reaction out of its audience and have people feel a certain way. This is becoming a serious problem causing many big issues. Race, sexism, murder, and class is one thing they like to use in the news and they know with one word, or phrase they can get a whole community riled up because they do not hear the whole story.

 This is one of many video I could have picked from but this is one of the easiest to watch. The biggest problem with this video is it does not give the full range of why the police officer had to shoot. They do not say who are the people they are taking the polls from. They leave out so much information all you hear and see is "White police officers had Shot and Killed Black men". But this gives a certain perspective for you to think about this issue.

Another Situation where it is a perspective issue is the videos kids are posting for fights in school. Many people just see the fight and want to blame adults but where is the whole story. Where is it that one is bulling the other and one finally snaps. Where is it the kids are getting out of control and teachers are afraid to do anything because it will then be turned on them they hurt a child when all they were trying to do was break up a fight.  They show only what the video is off of a phone and you never hear the back story you never really know who through the first punch if it was physical or verbal. What started all of this no one seems to care all they care about is the middle and the end and who to blame.

Where is the real blame for these video's? Where is the help that is needed? People wonder why so many people are becoming violent. People do not want the truth because if they were to receive the real deal they might have to look at themselves to blame and no one wants that.

I don't really know how to finish this because I am upset about all of this. I know from personal experience that the news does not give back stories, or the whole picture and it is upsetting because now people only pick one side and it usually causes more problems then when it started if there is anything to be said it is "Open your eyes and make sure you get all the facts before making a judgment".
