The End.

Blogging I will have to say is not really for me. I did enjoy going on longer tangents then I usually do when I am on facebook, but I really don't have time to be in front of a computer. Then when I am in front of a computer I am doing school work. I have kids and I love to be outside(even in the summer). So when and if I have free time I am usually in my garden, playing with kids, exercising, or just trying to have some kind of social life.

I will say blogging did have its perks. When it came to really making a point or giving a brief summary this gives the person a better opportunity to really express themselves. I personally took a lot of  this seriously but that is because I am the kind of person who is always wanting information. If it be opinion or fact it is still information that I can understand.

I did not really learn anything about blogging but i got a better understanding of people and how they see the world. If people blogged about things they enjoyed you could see it in their work. If they were doing it to just do it, they usually were short no pictures and very little is said about anything. Even when it came to picking your own subjects I feel a lot of people were just not interested and do not have the drive to better themselves even if it is little writings like bloggings.

I think that if there were any suggestions to be made it would be to make it mandatory to add a picture to every blog entry so people have to get in to it and maybe start to enjoy their work.

Thank you for the experience and to get to know all of you it has been a very interesting semester.

Getting Fit

Lets get fit!!!

Whatever it is, how ever much you can do, get up and get active.  I believe in this through and through.

I believe if we start at a very young age, people with be more inclined to exercise as they get older. I was placed in sports all my life and I loved it and miss it to this day. I swam to help my asthma. I payed soccer to make friends at first(just moved) then it was for the love of the sport. I keep my kids doing the same thing. All of them swim, dance, play outside on a daily basis, as long as it is not to hot. I kids have all the energy they have for it to be expelled. So I let them play and be kids I just make sure I am doing it as well to keep my body in shape and active.

There have been many time where I get lazy or depressed and I have to start all over again. It always hurts at the beginning, feeling fat, running slower, and always thinking everyone is looking at me. But I try not to give up, I make sure to push harder and harder every time I am back in the gym. I use to run a 15 min 2 mile and I am barely making a 10 min mile. But once I see the numbers I push hard to get back down just for one mile but soon it will be back to 2.

I believe that this is such a true statement. I find that when I work out I feel better about life. I have gone to the gym with many friends and we motivate each other as well as just feel better about ourselves and life. I know personally when I am stressed  or upset after a good run everything seems to just melt away. If I know one thing it is coucling and many doctors, therapist, and psychologist, will encourage exercise because of what it does to and for the mind and body.

I will never be skinny I know that I was not built that way but I will be fit and happy. I just hope more and more people start to see this for what it is and do these things for themselves.

Food Inc.

I Love food. I have never been picky, I have never had a problem eating anything, but after watching this movie I am seriously traumatized.  I was actually raised on a farm (yes you can believe it) we always had chickens, cows, horses, turkeys, and geese. We usually raised them to eat them.  One cow would feed our family of eight up to six to eight months. The chickens we usually kept for the eggs and we would have about seven chickens at one time and they would produce one to two eggs every day. The geese we would only have about one or two at a time and we had them as rescue pets so there was no eating unless they got mean and would attack. I guess the saying ignorance is bliss is true, because I never thought, never knew that the animals I was eating- now that I am not on the farms- were so tortured.

https://youtu.be/I2dGvZiHUJ0  BE WARNED THIS IS VERY GRAPHIC AND SICK

These animals are tortured from the inside out. they are given hormones, antibiotic, and many other chemicals in their "food". Yes the chicken is bigger and there is now more meat to feed more, but the chickens organs are to big for themselves and they die at a very painful rate. Taking to steps and falling to the ground, struggling to breath, having that constant feeling your heart is being over worked so you just know you can die at any second. That is what these chickens go through.

I know greed is everywhere and I should not be surprised that big company's do these things to animals and humans. I am just so angry that the government allows all of this. If organic saves the planet, economy, humans, and animals race why don't we just do these things. You would think it be common sense but  it is all about the money and it always will be. It is really sad to think that, that is all people think about  instant gratification and money.

I think science is a wonderful thing with out it we would still be living in the stone ages. But for science to come in to the kitchen and in to our food I just don't understand. We were fine, people were so much healthier when the animals were natural and we ate natural. Now we have so many things to fear; e.coli, salmonella, mad cow disease and many more. Why is are food being engineered why is it not being grown like it always has been?

I personally Hated this movie but I do feel it was very informative and opened my eyes. From this point on, I will keep my family and my home organic because that is just what feels right to me. I wont see the machines, the chemicals and the cruelty.

Entry#4 Tattoo World

Tattoos really are everywhere you cant go anywhere with out seeing them. From tiny little butterfly to full body covers they are becoming the norm. But they have been around for many years are have gone from being a symbol of power to a mark of damnation. Tattoos make the world go round. all around the world in many different cultures people have been tattooing.

Tattoo practices across the globe since at least Neolithic times, as evidenced by mummified preserved skin, ancient art, and the archaeological record.[1] The oldest discovery of tattooed human skin was found on the upper lip of a Chinchorro culture mummy from South America, dating to approximately 6000 BC. (Wikipedia)

In the ancient Egypt the women would tattoo themselves when giving birth as a right of passage. Then there was other women who were tattooed because they were the mistresses or prostitutes for the kings so when they were buried with the kings they were tattooed with jewelry so they always a show of power.

Asian culture has always used tattoos as to disgrace the law breakers, But that changed because high bosses in Akuza would get these tattoos to show their rank by full body tattoos. Then once a year they would get naked and show off their bodies and gives society a understanding of who these people are. The many tattoos have many different meaning. The dragon is for courage, fire, and  wisdom. The koi fish represents loyalty, courage, and strength.

The Samoans have always done a traditioal tribal look but the means of the tattoos goes much farther then just looking good. Many say it for tribe ranking or just to differentiate between tribes.

Indonsiona women have tattoos on their faces to represent the time they now have become a women and are ready for marriage. Other tribes have them for the mothers and giving birth to their children.

Age has no limit when it comes to tattoos. My Nana got her first tattoo at 72 years old. A full back piece of a beautiful, colorful, dragon. I cant get the picture to down load but I will never forget what she said "Jennifer, I am 72 and my parents have passed it is time for me to live my life". I  have and will never forget those words so now I am up to 23 tattoos personally and have many, many more to go.

tattoo are the one thing you can take to the grave and beyond so why not have a few memories, portraits, things you love to take with you. A little pain is all you have to go through to have these wonderful tattoos with you for the rest of your life.

Entry 3# Wall-E

When watching this movie for the first time I took it in for what it was, another kids movie. But as my kids would randomly pick it to be the movie of the night, I actually started paying attention to the plot and the characters. Wall-e is just another love story but if you look at the bigger picture it hides a lot of truth that can and may happen here in the near future.

People think that technology is great(i agree to some level) and they can not live without it, but have you ever thought about how much it is really hurting us as individuals. People today use it for everything, with communication, cooking, cleaning, to simple things like brushing our teeth. What if, just what if technology took over like it seems to do in the movie. How lazy would society get, beside that how fat could it get? This movie actually puts it in to perspective for adults and children to see.
So now technology is in control of everything. It, because it is not a person, it tells you when you sleep, when you eat, what you learn. How do you feel about that? Is society so mentally numb and lazy they really don't know what to do, say or think. This can honestly be a possibility in the near future. Children do not think they ask Google. People do not walk(think Wal-mart)they hover around on sit-down scooters. People do not cook they get instant meals or call for delivery. Now more then ever people rely on robots to clean. from the automatic floor vacuum/mop to the shower cleaner.
To me Wall-E was a wonderful movie with a lot of love and wake-up calls. It showed how robots are there to help and provide when necessary. But it also show the ugly side of  how people are seriously becoming dependent on technology for everyday living. Just a little food for thought when picking up your phone or turning on the T.V. instead of playing with your kids or just being active for your own well-being.
